I know what it is like to be an anxious kid. I know what it is like to have an anxious kid.

Sadly, anxiety doesn’t discriminate based on age. Even a small child can be plagued by feelings of worry, fear, or panic. Recently, my sweet six-year-old niece dealt with the paralyzing fear of spiders in her bed at night. She would barely sleep due to her fear.

My own eight-year-old daughter has been dealing with her own anxiety over going back to school. She has had some sob-sessions where she is overwhelmed by the worry of returning to the classroom.

So how do we help kids face these fears?

My wife, Molly, and I sat down and spoke about how we’ve helped our kids face anxiety. In this video we discuss:

  1. The need to direct your kids to scripture and hope in the Lord.
  2. The need to be understanding when they are feeling anxious because you are feeling anxious.
  3. Practical ways to help your kids renew their thinking and dwell on God’s promises and desires.

I hope this is helpful to you. If it is, please share it with others, and don’t forget to snag a copy of “The End of Anxiety” today.
