I can’t believe summer break is almost over. School supplies, in the stores, remind me that our weekly routines are about to return. Yellow buses, driving in the morning, remind me just how brief the summer is.
Life is short, and the seasons come so fast. Years feel like months, and months feel like days. James was right when he said that life is like a vapor (James 4:14); it’s gone before we know it.
The little things we do every day are like a small stroke in a bigger picture. Are you making the most of the small and fast moments of life?
Paul wrote in Colossians 3:17, “Whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus.”
This week, I am going to take an inventory of the small things. Are they glorifying to God? Am I doing everything in the name of Jesus? The brevity of life should be our reminder to not waste a moment, but to spend everything we’ve got for Jesus.
I was thinking about this tonight as I put the kids to bed… life is going so fast! Making the most of moments takes great intentionality!
